Patricia Spence, Founder and CEO
Our founder and CEO, Patricia (Wertz) Spence, was a practicing lawyer prior to entering the legal recruiting industry. After practicing law for several years, Patricia started her legal recruiting firm from scratch.
She quickly realized that recruiting was her passion and purpose, and her experience and knowledge of the law led her down the path of specializing in legal recruiting. After experiencing much success within this arena, and specializing there for the last decade, she has recently expanded her company to include executive recruiting services.
Patricia has built her legal and executive recruiting practice on principles of commitment, service, and professionalism. When partnering with organizations on legal and executive searches, her experience and expertise allow her to help them identify and acquire the most talented professionals.
Patricia is committed to helping the best candidates in the market attain career-enhancing opportunities that allow them to achieve the quality of life they seek.
Fast-forward to today, and SSP is now an established legal and executive recruiting firm, that is based in Ohio and focuses on the Midwest region.
Patricia graduated magna cum laude from Capital University Law School and cum laude from Ohio University.
MARTHA WALKER, RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Martha is an integral part of the SSP team, and works closely with the executive recruiters to compile a contact list of all potential candidates that fit the client’s needs. Prior to joining SSP, Martha had a long and successful career as an Administrative Assistant with Shell Chemical Company.
